“YSC (Yerevan State Conservatory) Publishing House” is founded on the 28th of January in 2004 by the scientific council of the YSC on the base of the editorial office of magazine “The Musical Armenia”. The founders of “The YSC Publishing House” are rector of the YSC – professor S.Saradgyan and chief editor of magazine “The Musical Armenia” - G.Shagoyan. The Editorial stuff consits of eight editors and correctors: G.Shagoyan (publisher, editor-in-chief), V.Tovmasyan, A.Gevorgyan, H.Muradyan, E.Kochikyan, S.Aznauryan, H.Khachikyan, M.Asatryan, as well as of three designers: Kh.Pakhanyan, N.Samvelyan, S.Ghukasyan.
- Magazine “The Musical Armenia” is a scientific, critical-publicistic musical periodical publication, which reflects the modern Armenian musical thoughts, showing the wide musical panorama of Armenia and Diaspora. The first musical journal in Armenia was founded in 1998 by composer, editor of the YSC after Komitas, Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Armenia, member of the Council of Composers of the RF and the RA, at present Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Armenia in Russia – A.Smbatyan (director-founder, at present honorarey director - founder) and by musicologist, member of the Council of Composers of The RA, and the Council of journalists of the RA – G. Shagoyan (editor-in-chief, the founder). The magazine is confirmed in the High Certifying Commission of the Republic of Armenia. At present the director of “The Musical Armenia” is the rector of the YSC – S.Saradgyan.
The journal is spread in conservatories, universities, libraries, cultural centers, publishing houses of journals and newspapers, chairs of armenology in Russia, Germany, Austria, England, Italy, Greece, USA, Canada, Egypt, Argentina, Ecuador, Hungary, Bulgaria, Lybia, Iran, Turkey, Georgia and others. Taking into account the multilingual character of the Armenian Diaspora, articles are published in the original: western or eastern Armenian, Russian, English, French, German and others.
- Newspaper “Yerazhisht” (“The Musician”) has been published since 2005. The editor-in-chief of the newspaper is musicologist A.Gevorgyan (founders: rector of the YSC – professor S.Saradgyan and director of the Publishing House – G.Shagoyan).
- The Publishing house also publishes scores, scientific periodical literature (yearly “The Collection of Teaching and Methodological Works”, since 2004), text-books, teaching programs and monographs.
